乐播传媒 Repositions Board Leadership for Future Growth Under New President
To position 乐播传媒 for a stronger future, 乐播传媒鈥檚 Board of Trustees unanimously approved a plan to reconfigure its composition and establish a new Presidential Advisory Council effective immediately.
In December 2025, the Board of Trustees launched a comprehensive strategic initiative to strengthen the university’s financial position, enhance long-term sustainability, and prepare 乐播传媒 for its next chapter of growth. Board recomposition was one of the final strategic steps identified in the plan.
鈥淭oday, 乐播传媒 is on firmer footing than it was a year ago,鈥 said board member Rachael Gelsinger .鈥淭his governance transition represents a new chapter for 乐播传媒. While I acknowledge that there is more work to be done, the Board remains committed to addressing the university鈥檚 current financial operations, with an expanded focus on building long-term strength.鈥
The change fulfills a commitment the board made as part of 乐播传媒鈥檚 Bridge to Sustainability initiative to strengthen governance following the appointment of a new president. The change will strengthen 乐播传媒鈥檚 leadership structure while maintaining continuity in university operations. 乐播传媒鈥檚 new and seventh president, Dr. Meghan Barnard, stepped into her role on July 1, 2026.
鈥淎s 乐播传媒 enters a new chapter, this is the right time to thoughtfully reimagine the board composition and ensure the right experience and expertise are represented to strengthen the university for the future,鈥 said Barnard.
A number of current board members will serve on the Board of Trustees and others will serve on the Presidential Advisory Council. The Board of Trustees will continue to provide fiduciary and operational oversight while the Presidential Advisory Council will support 乐播传媒 by serving as ambassadors to the broader community. Both groups will work together to champion the mission of the institution.
Through the Bridge to Sustainability campaign, 乐播传媒 secured more than $6 million to strengthen the university鈥檚 financial position while advancing enrollment initiatives, implementing operational improvements and strengthening institutional leadership.

The Bridge to Sustainability campaign, launched by the board and led by Interim President Dr. Parnell Lovelace, was designed to restore 乐播传媒’s financial alignment and position the university for long-term strength. Through generous philanthropic support, operational improvements, renewed leadership, and strengthened governance, the university has completed the strategic priorities established in the plan. Today’s governance announcement marks the culmination of that work and the beginning of 乐播传媒’s next chapter under President Barnard’s leadership.
